Investing in a good pair of Glassblowing glasses is an investment in your eyesight.Whenever working with glass in a torch, it is essential that one wear glasses that will filter out the sodium flare from the molten glass. All the glasses we sell have this protection and this is sufficient when working with soft glass or small gathers of clear boro. When working with colored boro, large items, or if fuming with gold or silver, much better protection is needed to protect your eyes from infrared radiation. The shade 3 and shade 5 glasses we offer will provide better protection for boro workers to allow them to have a long, happy career in lampworking.
